How much should I expect to pay for a used car near Minneapolis?
Last updated: October 2026
Right now we have 21 cars on the lot between $2,499 and $12,500, with a median price of $7,495. That is the honest range for a small independent lot in the north metro: most of what we sell is a ten-to-fifteen-year-old car with real mileage on it, priced to be dependable transport rather than a showroom piece.
Every number on this page is counted from our live inventory as of October 14, 2026. It describes ourlot and the way we price, not the Twin Cities market as a whole — we are a small independent dealer and we are not in a position to publish a regional survey. That also makes these figures more useful than a national average, which describes nowhere in particular.
What we have, by price

The rest of the shape of it
| Cars listed | 21 |
|---|---|
| Price range | $2,499 – $12,500 |
| Median price | $7,495 |
| Median mileage | 152,068 mi |

What that money buys up here
At the bottom of the range you are buying a car with real age and real mileage, and often one that qualifies for Minnesota's $10 in-lieu sales tax instead of the 6.875% — which is worth more than people expect on a cheap car. Toward the top it is newer, lower-mileage, and more often all-wheel drive. Both ends are sold the same way: as-is, with what we know about the car written on its page.
Why we publish this at all
Because “call for price” wastes everyone's afternoon. If our range does not fit your budget you have found that out in ten seconds instead of after a drive to Circle Pines — and if it does, you already know roughly what you are walking into.
